Sule Arnautovic climbs Mt Kilimanjaro – UNHCR Climb for Refugees

Jirsch Sutherland’s Managing Partner, Sule Arnautovic, is exhilarated over his successful ascension to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. Sule, along with three friends, has just participated in the UN Refugee Agency’s (UNHCR Australia) Climb for Refugees: 2013 Kilimanjaro Challenge.

Having grown up in Zambia and South Africa in his formative years, Sule felt he could appreciate the plight of some of his fellow humans, “hence, my desire to help.”

Prior to his departure, Sule wrote, “This trek will be extremely gruelling and challenging and although I have some excitement about the prospect of conquering the tallest mountain in Africa (Some 19,340 ft. or 5,895 m) I am equally anxious about the physicality of the challenge in an environment lacking enough oxygen for a battle hardened office worker!”

Sule was pleased to announce that his team surpassed their fundraising target of $16,000.  Sincere thanks to the generosity of all who donated as the team collectively raised $17,630!
