On 22 September 2014, the business of insolvency accounting firm WA Insolvency Solutions merged with Jirsch Sutherland.
WA Insolvency Solutions is one of Western Australia’s most prominent insolvency accounting practices and was owned by Kim Strickland and Chris Williamson who have worked together for over 25 years. Together, with all of their staff, Kim and Chris will join existing Jirsch Sutherland (Perth) personnel.
The combined WA practice will employ 22 staff members and have 3 partners; being Kim Strickland, Chris Williamson and existing Jirsch Sutherland (Perth) partner Bob Jacobs.
Kim Strickland has been appointed as the Managing Partner of the combined WA practice.
The WA practice will operate with 5 registered official liquidators, 3 trustees in bankruptcy and will operate from the current offices of WA Insolvency Solutions together with other part-time and full-time offices in regional Western Australia.

In addition to the established services of corporate and personal insolvency and business restructuring, WA Insolvency Solutions will also introduce the services of forensic accounting and litigation support which will be headed by the inaugural Jirsch Sutherland (Perth) partner, Bob Jacobs, an experienced forensic investigator and restructuring specialist for almost 30 years.

The merger with WA Insolvency Solutions will see Jirsch Sutherland grow to 21 partners and over 90 staff, with national offices located in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.

The combined WA practice will continue to trade as WA Insolvency Solutions and will focus on expanding its business in the Western Australian market by providing high quality professional advice on insolvency related matters.
